Wool Applique Pillows by Michele Dore

Get Folked! These pillows bring folk design and upcycled materials into the now.

Each pillow case is unique in combination of vintage buttons, fibres both new and recycled, and backing fabrics. Applique is whipstitched with strong 50/50 wool/acrylic thread to withstand everyday use and cleaning. Fit a 20×20 inch pillow form (not included).

“Mackintosh Red” inspired by the art of Charles Rennie Mackintosh uses recycled wools, and fun “tape” fabric inside facing the flap on tartan back. Oversize snaps closure under vintage buttons.

 “Heading Home”  new and recycled wools on vintage cotton feed sack antique snaps, antique buttons, antique French covered zinc buttons. Please note: the soluble ink printing on old feed sacks was meant to wash out. Ink may fade if washed. To care, dab spot with damp cloth.
